It was a great “Spring” day for the Jenkins lab. Will Overland presented his UROP work on a project with Kathy and Maddie looking at changes in ankyrin-G localization in intestinal epithelium of “depressed” rats. Will was awarded a UROP poster prize for his presentation. Matt presented his Senior Honors Thesis for his work with Julie on the effects of deletion of Zdhhc8 on ankyrin-G localization and function in the brain. Shruti presented her Senior Honors Thesis for her work with Andrew on the mechanisms underlying GABA synapse loss in Ank3 W1989R mice. MAtt and Shruti both gave excellent presentations and we will all miss their presence in lab. We’re looking forward to see where they go from here!
