Dr. Andrew Nelson, the Jenkins Lab’s first PhD student, successfully defended his thesis on the Role of Ankyrin-G in Synaptic Biology. He did an outstanding job on his presentation and defense and was joined by his family from Minnesota, including his parents and thousand sisters. Andrew has been an important part of the lab since almost the beginning and he will be missed. Andrew is doing his postdoctoral fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Kevin Bender at the University of California – San Francisco. We are all very excited to see what Andrew does next!
